Jsme téměř 30 let v oboru plochých střech a během naší dlouhé činnosti v oblasti oprav, údržby a montáží hydroizolací na plochých střechách se neustále setkáváme s problémem likvidace nebezpečného odpadu.
Problém s ekologií začíná však již při výběru a návrhu střešního systému. V tomto směru se pouze o ekologii pouze mluví, protože se při navrhování izolačních materiálů vůbec nepočítá s následnou údržbou střechy. A to je chyba jak pro ekologii, tak často i pro životnost ploché střechy.
Existují střešní systémy, které jsou sice o něco dražší, ale při následném prodlužování životnosti a funkci střechy jsou mnohem ekonomičtější a ekologičtější zároveň. Takové jsou střešní asfaltové systémy Swepco, které není nutné odvážet jako starou krytinu na skládku, ale ta se dá využít, jako podklad pro obnovený střešní plášť.
Naproti tomu se hojně, jako izolační vrstva, používají PVC a jiné folie, které se jen velmi těžko repasují a proto se po skončení jejich fungování plnoplošně demontují a odvezou jako nebezpečný odpad na skládku.
Při předpokládané výměně této střešní izolace v běžném cyklu 15 – 18 let se jedná o velmi velkou ekologickou zátěž, která je ve výsledku zbytečnou a zároveň i neekonomickou.
Předpokládejme , že budeme mít střechu o rozměrech 1 200 m2 , což je běžná plocha střechy u mnohých Bytových družstev. Za 30 – 35 let každé takové bytové družstvo odveze na skládku zhruba 2 500 m2 plastů !!!!
Každý, kdo se trochu zajímá o přírodu má problém, když se na skládce objeví několik plastových lahví nebo několik starých pneumatik.
My se ptáme: tento stav nikomu nevadí? Vždyť stačí tak málo. Změnit technologii – střešní systém.
Výsledek bude pro obě strany vítězstvím: pro majitele střechy = delší životnost střechy + pro planetu = méně odpadu.
